About The Opportunity We are looking for an experienced Contract Administrator to join our commercial team in Brisbane, supporting the delivery of water infrastructure and utilities projects across Queensland. You will work closely with Project Managers and Engineers on treatment plants, pipelines, civil structures, pumping stations and broader water sector packages. The role includes a mix of office-based work and time on site, with periodic travel depending on project needs. This opportunity suits someone who enjoys being hands on and involved in the full lifecycle of civil and water infrastructure delivery. As a Contract Administrator, You Will Be Responsible For Supporting the commercial and contractual management of water and civil construction projects, both upstream and downstream. Preparing, reviewing and maintaining contracts, procurement documents and project records. Assisting with procurement, including subcontractor packages and tender evaluations. Administering subcontractor agreements, progress claims, variations and purchase orders. Monitoring project progress, identifying risks and advising the Project Manager of required changes or variations. Tracking project costs, budgets, forecasts and commercial registers. Assisting with monthly reporting, cost to completes, head contract claims and supporting financial documentation. Ensuring compliance with contractual, legislative and client requirements. Supporting clear and effective communication between internal teams, subcontractors and stakeholders. What You’ll Bring To The Team You will have experience as a Contract Administrator within civil construction, ideally with head contractor exposure and a background in water, utility or civil infrastructure. You bring strong commercial acumen, a high level of accuracy and the confidence to operate across both site and office environments. Experience In The Following Areas Will Be Highly Regarded Civil and water sector contract administration. Cost tracking, budgeting, forecasting and managing subcontractor claims. Preparing and administering variations and procurement packages. Understanding of EOTs, head contract obligations and broader commercial processes. Risk identification, compliance awareness and sound judgement. Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive working relationships. Competence in Microsoft Office and exposure to contract management systems. A proactive mindset and a willingness to support project delivery wherever required.
