Purpose As the Assistant Financial Controller, you will be an essential member of the Accor Strata Hub team, playing a key role in accounting, reporting and business partnering for a number of properties within the Accor Apartments & Realty Strata hub portfolio. In addition, the role will provide management, support and development for a number of finance team members This position is ideal for a highly competent, Assistant Financial Controller or Management Accountant that is seeking to work in a dynamic environment whilst advancing their career. This role can be based in either Sydney or Melbourne. Primary Responsibilities Business partner with property General Managers to provide financial guidance and facilitate overall financial growth Annual Budgeting and periodic forecasting Implementation and effective management of risk controls Manage, support and develop a tight knit finance team Coordinate the monthly P&L preparation, review and variance analysis Prepare, communicate and review monthly/annual forecasts and budgets Prepare, review and manage balance sheets Provide coaching and functional guidance to the department heads Skills and Experience A minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role Tertiary qualifications in Accounting and/or Finance or Commerce CA or CPA qualifications is a plus Proven track record and strong understanding of management accounting Strong leadership in addition to attention to detail, accuracy and problem solving skills Excellent written and oral communication skills across a wide-range of stakeholders Ability to work under pressure within tight time frames A can do attitude
