We’re inviting first to fourth year apprentices to join our permanent workforce at Various Defence Locations in a Preventative Maintenance Apprenticeship role. Locations and trade type that may be of interest to interested Apprentices: Refrigeration/HVAC Tech | Plumber – Gallipoli Barracks, Enoggera Refrigeration/HVAC Tech – RAAF Amberley What You’ll Do This role offers a broad scope, with key responsibilities including: Conducting risk assessments associated with every task, hazard identification and implementing controls to ensure a zero-harm approach to preventative maintenance Adherence to maintenance activities defined under the Defence Service Definition Table and associated maintenance schedule. Including inspections, testing, adjustments, cleaning and minor replacements such as filters. Conducting activities on a defined cycle including, weekly, monthly, quarterly and/or annual tasks based on asset class and risk. Carrying out standardised tasks that are repeatable to ensure consistency, with works to be conducted by appropriately qualified and licenced trades. Preventative Maintenance inspections are intended to identify wear, deterioration, or potential failure points requiring remediation.
