About the Role: We are seeking an experienced and detail-driven Banking Officer to join our Resident Management team. Reporting to the Credit Control Team Leader, this role plays a critical part in ensuring the timely, accurate and compliant processing of resident payments and banking activities, while delivering a high standard of customer service to both internal and external stakeholders. You will be responsible for receipting and allocating payments, managing direct debits, investigating unidentified or dishonoured transactions, and supporting our Care Communities with banking and receipting queries. This role contributes directly to operational accuracy, financial integrity, and a positive customer experience. Key Responsibilities Process daily and monthly resident payments with a high level of accuracy Receipt and allocate payments within agreed timeframes Manage direct debit processing, including dishonoured payments Investigate and reconcile unidentified payments Complete daily/weekly cheque banking Respond to payment and receipting enquiries from internal and external stakeholders Support month-end processes and ongoing process improvement initiatives About You: You are highly organised, detail-oriented, and confident working in a regulated, high-volume environment. You take pride in accuracy, enjoy problem-solving, and are comfortable liaising with a range of stakeholders. Minimum 3 years’ experience in a banking, receipting, or finance operations role is preferred Diploma in Accounting is essential Advanced Excel and strong data entry skills High attention to detail and ability to manage confidential information Strong communication, time management, and customer service skills Experience in a regulated environment and/or aged care is highly advantageous All applicants must be willing to obtain a police clearance certificate via Opal HealthCare's police check system and undergo pre-employment medical.
