MateCare is seeking Male Support Workers for high-intensity support roles! We’re looking for staff who are passionate about helping others and confident supporting clients with complex, high-intensity needs. If you can think on your feet, build strong relationships, and step confidently into challenging situations, MateCare may be the perfect fit. You will be mentored by a skilled and talented team while you undertake both on-the-job training and formal studies towards a Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability). We are seeking individuals who: Are calm and composed when responding to challenging behaviours Can learn quickly, follow guidelines, and adapt to changing circumstances Communicate clearly and professionally Work independently and as part of a team Bring a supportive, positive attitude — a sense of humour helps! (Experience with high-intensity support is valued but not essential; motivated learners are welcome) Availability: Monday – Friday shifts, occasional weekends (up to 30 hours a week if suitable) Key Responsibilities: Follow Behaviour Support Plans (BSPs) and implement strategies as outlined Apply restrictive practices safely and report accurately Provide high-intensity 1:1 or 2:1 client support Assist with personal care, daily routines, and community participation Support meal preparation and use of assistive technology as needed Ensure client safety and wellbeing at all times Mandatory Requirements: First Aid Level 2 Current CPR (annual) National Police Check (within 12 months, or willingness to obtain) Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain) NDIS Worker Screening Check Current driver’s licence (Provisional or higher) Own vehicle with comprehensive insurance (or willingness to obtain) Australian Citizenship or right to work in Australia If you’re ready to make a meaningful difference in high-intensity support and grow your skills, we’d love to hear from you!
