What you'll do Apply independent specialist scientific judgement in the analysis of patient specimens leading to the verification and validation of tests results and the provision of advice to the clinical unit where appropriate to ensure that the pathology service meets the requirements of The Prince Charles Hospital and Metro North Hospital and Health Services. Provide scientific leadership to supervise Transfusion diagnostic testing, development of scientific practices and related duties following Pathology Queensland established accredited protocols and standards within a medium sized multidisciplinary team in accordance with prescribed professional and ethical standards, procedures and protocols and across The Prince Charles Hospital group laboratories. About you We are searching for someone with: Demonstrated ability to apply advanced level scientific judgement in the analysis of patient specimens leading to the verification and validation of test results and the provision of Transfusion advice to the clinical unit where appropriate to ensure that the pathology service meets the requirements of the Hospital and Health Service. Demonstrated ability to provide advice to laboratory staff and clients on a broad range of issues pertaining to service delivery and improvement opportunities for Pathology Queensland. Demonstrated ability to provide scientific services of a complex nature to ensure the maintenance of professional clinical standards and established principles / procedures. Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective professional relationships with clients and colleagues. Demonstrated well developed level of knowledge, expertise and skill in the management of human, financial and physical resources of a medium multidiscipline laboratory in line with the strategic direction of Pathology Queensland.
