Role Overview This position is well suited to a politically astute adviser with strong financial services expertise who enjoys operating at the intersection of public policy, regulation and commercial priorities. The role also contributes to ongoing public policy operations, stakeholder engagement and reporting activities, working closely with internal teams and external partners both locally and globally. Key Responsibilities: Advocate for the organisation’s policy positions with policymakers and regulators Analyse political, legislative and regulatory developments across relevant areas Produce high quality written and verbal materials including submissions, briefs, reports and talking points Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align business priorities with public policy and consultation responses Build and maintain strong relationships with policymakers, regulators and their advisers Engage with industry bodies, trade associations, consultants and other external stakeholders Partner with senior leaders in policy and government relations locally and internationally Support the planning and coordination of political and regulatory engagements Represent the Public Policy function in internal forums and with senior leadership Lead and deliver ad hoc projects as required Skills and Experience: Relevant qualifications or equivalent professional experience Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a related role Strong understanding of the financial services and funds management sector Well developed political and regulatory acumen with a clear understanding of policymaking processes Strong analytical capability and ability to interpret complex issues Excellent written and verbal communication skills Highly organised, detail-oriented and comfortable working autonomously Proven ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment Strong relationship-building skills with the credibility to engage senior stakeholders What's on offer?: This contract offers the chance to influence financial services policy at a leading global investment firm.
