The Capital Works, Net Zero (PEQ) Project Officer is responsible for supporting the delivery of the net zero capital works at the department's Post Entry Quarantine (PEQ) site at Mickleham, Victoria. The facility is a key asset for the department and facilitates the post-arrival quarantine of high-risk imports such as horses, avian, plants, cats and dogs. The role requires engagement and collaboration with stakeholders, including staff, and the landlord. The role would suit someone with strong project and data management skills. The preferred candidate will have experience in client-side project management, working collaboratively with Whole of Australian Government Property Service Providers, capital works project delivery, contract management and stakeholder engagement. As the Capital Works, Net Zero Project Officer , you will: The duties of the role include, but are not limited to: Work collaboratively to assist in delivering the department's Net Zero (PEQ) Property Capital Works Program. Contribute to the development and implementation of capital works projects, practices and processes for the PEQ. Contribute to the ongoing management of property, BMS and sustainability data as it relates to the PEQ, in alignment to the department's Emissions Reductions Plan. Develop PEQ project plans, including evaluation and financial reporting. Coordinate risk assessment, risk management and induction activities. Respond to requests for PEQ utility data reviews. Actively participate in relevant governance meetings that support the delivery of PEQ capital works projects. Perform quality assurance of risks and treatments for area of responsibility. Perform independent research and analysis, including the preparation of draft reports. Support project and facilities administration, record keeping, compliance and reporting. Engage and collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders, to achieve required outcomes, support positive relationships and ensure effective communication.
