About the Mint The Royal Australian Mint is a small government agency working within the Commonwealth Government Portfolio of the Treasury. The Mint is a Non-corporate Commonwealth Entity and is listed under the Public Governance Performance and Accountability Act 2013 (PGPA Act). Coin Sculpting - design coins, medals, medallions, and token, etc. Graphic Design - design coin packaging materials, exhibition graphics, etc. About the Branch The Information and Security Branch coordinate the Information Communication Technology, Records Management and Security services to support the Mint, enabling the organisation to produce circulating coins, preserve the National Coin Collection and tell the stories of Australia by recognising significant anniversaries, events, and organisations through coins. About the Role Working in the Information and Security Branch, the Project Manager manages the initiation, scope, implementation and delivery of work plans, and ICT and LEAN projects within a program of works. This includes scoping requirements, and establishing and managing project plans, timeframes, milestones and outcomes. They lead project teams to achieve project implementation and completion, while achieving strategic objectives. The Project Manager undertakes or oversees procurement relating to ICT projects, undertakes risk assessments and leads detailed testing of systems during and post implementation. They influence negotiations and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support project delivery. The key duties of the position include The duties of this position include: 1. Initiating work plans, and ICT and LEAN projects by: a. scoping requirements and establishing timeframes for project implementation and completion; b. developing milestones, desired outcomes and linkages to strategic objectives; c. determining resource and quality requirements. 2. Applying Agile methodology to deliver work plans and projects within a program of works, from scope through to implementation. 3. Undertaking or overseeing procurement activities including developing requests for quotes, evaluating tender responses, and developing, negotiating and implementing contracts and service agreements. 4. Managing project teams, including assigning tasks, setting priorities, providing guidance, identifying development opportunities and providing performance feedback. 5. Liaising and building relationships with internal and external stakeholders to influence negotiations, provide advice and support project delivery. 6. Leading detailed testing of systems during and post implementation and assisting BAU teams with the ongoing support of systems post project completion. 7. Evaluating work plan and project outcomes and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement. 8. Identifying risks, undertaking risk assessments and managing risks accordingly. 9. Representing the Mint at various internal and external forums.
