Reporting to the Assistant Secretary as a Director in the People Branch you will: Contribute to and deliver on the strategic priorities of the Workplace Relations function, aligned with broader People Branch objectives. Drive reform across workplace relations services, policies, systems, and practices, ensuring they are contemporary, compliant, and responsive to organisational needs. Lead the development and implementation of workplace relations initiatives that support performance, integrity, and compliance, while fostering a fair and inclusive workplace culture. Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including unions and industrial bodies, to influence outcomes and support constructive engagement. Monitor and report on workplace relations trends, risks, and service performance, providing insights to inform decision-making and continuous improvement. Harness opportunities to deliver strategic outcomes through leadership of your team and collaboration across the organisation. Invest in capability development across the workplace relations function, through coaching, education, and tailored support for staff and stakeholders. The key duties of the position include We are seeking an experienced and driven EL2 leader with a strong background in workplace relations to help shape and deliver strategic people outcomes. You will bring clarity of purpose, foster collaboration, and lead with integrity to support a fair, inclusive, and high-performing workplace. If you have demonstrated expertise or achievement in any of the following areas, we encourage you to apply: Workplace relations, including pay and conditions, policy development, and union engagement. Enterprise bargaining and implementation of enterprise agreements and related policies. Oversight of payroll services, across both outsourced and in-house delivery models. Management of industrial disputes, reviews, or applications involving external bodies such as the Fair Work Commission.
