Your New Role We have a 12-month max-term contract opportunity for a Senior Analyst, Data Governance - Investments to join our Data Services Team. We recognise that data is central to achieving our 2035 strategy and this position plays a key role in enabling data utilisation to achieve substantial improvements in outcomes for members, supporting our organisation’s data culture, aligning with business objectives, and mitigating data risks. Your focus will be on assisting with effective data enablement and governance practices, fostering collaboration, and supporting change within the Investment Domain. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Data Governance Partner – Investments, you will work closely with the Investment Domain enablement team, business & technology teams. You will work proactively to support the rollout of the Fund’s data governance framework within the Investments data domain. You will also support strategic investments data-related initiatives, encourage data literacy, and assist in data governance within a variety of large and small-scale data implementation projects. This role presents a unique opportunity to contribute to our data management strategies and the efficiency of our investment operations. In this role, collaboration with stakeholders is crucial to developing a mature data control environment for Investments, enhancing the funds capability to manage data at scale and fostering a comprehensive data-driven culture. What You’ll Need Deep experience in data governance or data management within a financial institution, with substantial experience in directly partnering with senior business stakeholders and operational teams to roll out data governance frameworks within an investments domain. Comprehensive knowledge of data governance principles, data management standards, and Australian data protection regulations. Proven experience in key data management disciplines such as data quality, master data, metadata management & lineage, data architecture/modelling and privacy & security. Working understanding of investment data including good knowledge of market vendors such as Bloomberg and Refinitiv, portfolio management, and the broader investment process. Proficiency in one or more data governance and data management tools. Experience in formulating Data Quality plans and delivering Data Quality initiatives using modern tools and techniques. Proven track record in governing data during data transfers between systems, from market data vendors to centralised data platforms, and towards downstream business-specific systems. Experience with Investment data management tools like FactSet, BlackRock Aladdin, GoldenSource, SimCorp Dimension, IHS Markit, Matrix IDM. Experience working with cross-functional teams in a project environment to deliver data governance solutions. Excellent communication skills, capable of articulating complex data governance concepts to a diverse range of stakeholders and capable.
