About Us Our award-winning school has a population of approximately 1,350 students from Year 7 to Year 12. With a strong focus on implementing the curriculum with fidelity, Urangan State High School has a late start for students every Monday and Friday, enabling teachers to collaboratively plan curriculum with alignment and precision. This provides an additional 110 minutes of focused planning time each week, improving teachers' work-life balance. Our school is a friendly, happy, and busy place, with a focus on developing individual and collective excellence through the pursuit of our just cause: empowering a community of curious learners, creative thinkers, and connected humans. By actively pursuing this cause in all that we do, we help to discover the best in every student through high-quality educational and social experiences that expose them to new ideas, new ways, and new possibilities, ultimately supporting every student to have opportunities for 'what comes next.'
