The role of the Senior Lawyer is to provide high level quality legal services across the RTA, responding quickly and effectively to non-routine and urgent matters requiring legal advice. To be successful you will need: A law degree and admission (or immediate eligibility for admission) to the Supreme Court of Queensland Proven ability to deliver timely, accurate legal advice on a range of complex matters Demonstrated litigation experience, before Courts and Tribunals Strong written and verbal communication skills, including drafting legal documents, submissions, briefing notes, Ministerial responses and statutory correspondence The ability to identify legal risks and opportunities for operational or policy improvement, and escalate insights promptly and constructively to management Effective stakeholder engagement skills Whilst not essential, 4 years post qualification experience, including at least 2 years in house experience; public sector and governance experience is highly regarded.
