The role The Principal Technology Officer will provide high level technical direction, support and advice to maintain defined enterprise service levels in one or more technology domains. Key responsibilities: Maintain defined enterprise service levels by providing high quality technical expertise, support and administration whilst adhering to departmental standards, policies, procedures and ITSM processes Provide support and assistance in the clarification and prioritisation of tasks by ensuring assigned priorities are met in accordance with defined enterprise service levels Assist management in the decision-making process and continuous improvement by preparing technical reports, specifications and trend analysis within the unit About you We are searching for someone who: Demonstrated ability in developing and promoting ITIL Service Management processes primarily incident / problem / test / change and configuration management. (SFIA: USUP Level 4, PBMG Level 4, CHMG Level 4, CFMG Level 3, TEST Level 4) Demonstrated knowledge and technical skills in one or more of the following; (SFIA: TECH Level 5) Microsoft Windows Server 2012, 2016, 2019 and 2022 (OS and Hardware) Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops (CVAD) 2402 Virtualization (VMware vSphere) Active Directory /DNS /DHCP / Group Policy Microsoft Clustering Web Servers Technologies (IIS7, 7.5 and 8.5, Apache) Provide level of technical expertise to provide technical direction, standardisation, professional advice and support of enterprise infrastructure in a large customer focus organisation. (SFIA: ITOP Level 4, TECH Level 5) Well developed interpersonal, written and oral communication skills including the ability to negotiate, advise, influence others and work collaboratively with people to make decisions. (NHS: Effective and strategic influencing) Well-developed ability to build and maintain appropriate relationships with team members, other technical domain specialists, application specialists and end users. (NHS: Collaborative Working) Demonstrated skills in the analysis of IT system issues and the formulation, design and provision of appropriate solutions and improvements. Why work with us?
