Location - VIC, Melbourne Australian Citizens with Baseline Clearance Length of Contract: 5 months The role closes on 27th January 2026 Responsibilities: Develop a forward work plan for the implementation of the strategic roadmap for the Commercial Team. Implementation of strategic vision through the development of operational artefacts which translate strategic direction into tactical assignments. Support the development of an operating model for the team. Supporting strategic level decision making through the development of evidence based advisory artefacts. Specify, map, and implement effective business processes through improvements in systems, practices, and organisational change. Liaise with stakeholders across Defence and industry to support procurement outcomes. Essential Criteria: Demonstrated experience in working with senior executives, preferably in a public sector environment. Exposure to commercial or procurement roles, preferably in Defence or public sector environments. Strong stakeholder engagement skills. Highly Desirable: Strong understanding of Commonwealth Procurement activities & processes in the procure-to-pay value chain. Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work closely with a diverse team with varied skills to deliver.
