Indigeco is supporting a major Federal Government department to recruit 2XAPS6 Senior Program Officers within a nationally recognised mental health and wellbeing service. This role supports the delivery of counselling and wellbeing programs for veterans and their families across Australia. The positions are available for a 12-month labour-hire contract with a potential of 12-months extension. ABOUT THE ROLE As an APS6 Senior Program Officer, you will contribute to clinical and operational programs and projects, supporting development, implementation, evaluation, and continuous improvement activities. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders and provide high-quality advice to support strategic and operational outcomes. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support section, branch, and agency objectives Contribute to the development, implementation, and evaluation of clinical and operational programs and projects under the guidance of the Assistant Director Prepare and review high-quality written materials, including advice, briefings, papers, submissions, procurement documentation, and correspondence Support innovation and continuous business improvement through process design aligned to departmental policies and procedures Participate in program evaluation and project management activities supporting strategic and quality improvement initiatives Provide feedback to support the ongoing development of clinical policies, procedures, and service delivery models Apply cooperative and safe working practices consistent with APS Values and the APS Code of Conduct Demonstrate an understanding of mental health service operating environments Design and analyse processes, including development of procedural documentation and training resources KEY REQUIREMENTS Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management capability Well-developed written and verbal communication skills for internal and external decision-making forums Experience contributing to program and project development, implementation, and evaluation Understanding of mental health service delivery environments and trauma-informed approaches Strong analytical, process design, and documentation skills Ability to contribute to innovation, quality improvement, and service reform initiatives Sound judgement and ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams A strong commitment to APS Values, integrity, and inclusive workplace practices If this sounds like an interesting role, then apply today with a tailored CV and cover letter.
