In this senior role, you’ll work with well-known Tier 1 clients on major projects, supported by a talented multidisciplinary team. You’ll play a key role in engineering design, programming, future commissioning, and operational support. Primary Duties: Develop and implement tailored control system solutions for mineral processing projects. Ensure compliance with engineering standards and safety protocols. Design control system architectures and ensure seamless interface with client infrastructure. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless project delivery. Develop process control documents, including functional specifications and descriptions. Program and configure networks, PLC, SCADA, and HMI systems to meet client requirements. Perform bench testing, FAT, commissioning, and troubleshooting to ensure functionality and system performance. Provide operational and maintenance support to optimise control systems. Mentor and guide junior team members to support their technical and professional growth. Who are you? Bachelor's degree in either Electrical, Mechatronics, Software, or Computer Engineering, with a minimum of 10 years' industrial project experience, including a proven track record of leading successful project deliveries. Proven ability to solve complex control system challenges with innovative solutions, ideally with experience in mineral processing or related sectors, particularly in process automation and integration. Skilled in programming, configuring, and commissioning PLCs (e.g., Rockwell, Schneider, Siemens) and SCADA systems (e.g., Citect SCADA, FactoryTalk View), with experience in DCS systems, HMI development, or OPC communication protocols as an advantage. Relevant certifications (e.g., RPEQ, TÜV Functional Safety, or OEM certifications from Rockwell, Siemens, or Schneider), which validate these skills, are advantageous but not essential. Strong communication skills with a demonstrated track record of collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams, clients, and vendors, combined with a passion for mentoring and supporting junior team members.
