About the Role The Family Support Coordinator will play a vital role in supporting children and families to transition into school successfully, establish positive attendance and behaviour patterns, and access external services to reduce barriers to learning. Reporting to the Principal or their delegate, you will work closely with school staff, families, and external partners to create a safe and welcoming learning environment. Key responsibilities include: Collaborating with external partners to support families and children in engaging with learning and improving attendance and behaviour. Connecting families with services such as health, therapeutic, and developmental interventions to support student engagement. Building and sustaining positive relationships with students, parents, school staff, and community services. Identifying and establishing a formal network of support providers and partners for families and children. Using data to assess and improve the effectiveness of support measures for students and families. This role would suit someone passionate about fostering positive relationships, supporting families, and making a meaningful impact on student outcomes. About You The following traits would be beneficial: Experience working with children and families, particularly those with diverse needs. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build effective partnerships. Knowledge of community services and support networks.
