We are proudly part of Japan Post — www.tollgroup.com Role Overview The Transport Dispatcher is responsible for managing and performing transport dispatching transactions using SAP Transport Management (SAP TM) on behalf of all Distribution stakeholders to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and governance compliance of transport dispatch related business process execution to support efficient and effective logistics transportation operations and service delivery. The Transport Dispatcher will operate SAP TM business processes (including detailed distribution event monitoring and capture within SAP TM up to Proof of Delivery Confirmation) to execute and confirm completion of all freight orders based on the planned freight orders received from the Transport Planner. The Transport Dispatcher plays a critical role in ensuring data accuracy, compliance with operational standards, and effective communication with key stakeholders for the seamless coordination of dispatch activities to support the effective and timely movement of goods across the Defence Logistics Network to enable efficient logistics and transport outcomes. Responsibilities Perform transport dispatching transactions in SAP TM for goods originating from warehouses without SAP TM capabilities. Monitor dispatch requests and ensure all transactions are processed accurately and in a timely manner. Coordinate with warehouses and transport providers to confirm dispatch schedules and address any discrepancies. Maintain accurate and up-to-date dispatch records within SAP TM. Validate data inputs from warehouses and transport providers to ensure consistency and compliance with organisational requirements. Monitor system-generated alerts and resolve transport-related issues as they arise. Serve as the central point of contact for dispatch-related queries from warehouses, transport providers, and internal teams. Communicate dispatch statuses, changes, and requirements effectively to relevant stakeholders. Liaise with the IT and SAP teams to resolve technical issues impacting dispatch operations. Ensure all dispatch transactions comply with relevant legislation, standards, and organisational policies. Identify and mitigate risks associated with transport dispatch, including ensuring contingency measures are in place for operational disruptions. Contribute to the review and enhancement of dispatch processes to improve efficiency and accuracy. Provide input on system improvements or enhancements to SAP TM to better support operational needs. Processes dispatch transactions accurately and promptly to meet service delivery targets. About you: Familiarity with transport execution within large logistics network structure and operations (Highly Desirable). Demonstrated experience in transport dispatching or logistics, including the use of SAP Transport Management (SAP TM), or similar systems (Highly Desirable). Strong attention to detail and a proven ability to manage and process data accurately under tight time constraints (Highly Desirable). Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, including the ability to liaise effectively with diverse groups (Highly Desirable). Proven ability to prioritise tasks, work independently, and resolve issues efficiently in a fast-paced environment (Desirable).
