Join us for an exciting future and let’s innovate together Your role in the team A Dealer is responsible for learning and assisting in IG’s pricing, order processing and risk management by appropriately hedging IG’s exposures. A Dealer is also responsible for helping to improve IG’s systems and product offering. What you'll do Maintain exposure : oversee automated hedging systems and execute trades using the most appropriate venue or system when required. Understand the logic behind automated systems and the rules behind executing trades on venue. Recognise, diagnose and resolve system or dealer error when it occurs. Market-making : Provide quick and accurate quotes on OTC prices and exchange based products both through updating model inputs and through pricing unusual trades directly to clients. Analytics : Present detailed analysis to inform change in desk processes and drive development of IG pricing and risk systems. Product: Work with IG’s product team to deliver improvements to existing product sets as well as launching new IG products. Best-ex : To ensure that fair results are achieved for customers’ orders and that executions are consistent with IG’s policy to provide best execution in line with its Order Execution Policy. This includes making first response to disputes. Trade observation : to assist with identifying and reporting suspicious client trading behaviour, including the specification of systems for detection. Monitor client orders and close out monitor: ensuring fair fills across the services Handle operational incidents : dealers are at the front line of client communication, dispute resolution and incident management. Knowledge : maintain an up to date knowledge of the Dealing systems and procedures. To ensure new procedures / policies are understood and adhered to. Equally, through continuous personal development and up-to-date awareness of market knowledge, ensure that service provided is entirely consistent and reliable. What you’ll need for this role Undergraduate degree or higher in numerical discipline Good working knowledge of and interest in the financial markets. Excellent numeracy skills Excellent communication skills Demonstrates exceptional attention to detail Interest in statistics and analysis Nice to have: Experience of working with financial products Certificate in Securities and Financial Derivatives (Securities Institute) or equivalent Python/SQL experience How we work We try to take a thoughtful approach to our ways of working as a company.
