This program spans Digital Experience, Web Transformation, Technology Platforms, Data & Integration, and AI & Automation, ensuring the organisation is positioned as people-led, member-serving, and powered by future-proofed technology. As part of this transformation, the organisation is redesigning its website and member portal to deliver a modern, human-centred and increasingly personalised digital experience. The Senior Digital Content Strategist will play a pivotal role in shaping how content supports this vision. The opportunity This role sits within a specialist Digital Experience function and is responsible for leading the evolution of content strategy, governance and personalisation across a complex digital ecosystem. You’ll jump straight into a major website redesign project, help shape information architecture and content models, and establish the governance required to manage content at scale. This is a senior, high-impact role for someone who has led large-scale content programs before and thrives in complex, stakeholder-rich environments. Please note, this is a 12 month fixed term contract. What you’ll be doing Refine and lead content strategy, governance and content standards Establish and chair a senior Content Governance Committee Lead information architecture, taxonomy and content modelling Define and deliver content migration strategy (CMS selection in progress) Ensure SEO continuity, URL mapping and redirect planning Establish content personalisation foundations (member portal behavioural) Partner closely with designers, vendors and senior stakeholders Be hands-on where needed, including reviewing, rewriting and preparing content. What will make you stand out Proven experience leading digital content strategy for large, complex websites You’ve led multiple large-scale CMS migrations and understand the complexity involved. You’re confident operating at both strategic and hands-on levels. You can influence at executive level, set up governance, and push back when content doesn’t need to stay. You understand SEO, metadata, tagging and personalisation deeply. You bring pragmatism, warmth and a sense of humour to complex environments.
