Yuki in the Hills is a Japanese restaurant located in Aldgate, SA, specialising in authentic Japanese cuisine. We are seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Cook to join our kitchen team on a full-time basis. Key Responsibilities Prepare and cook Japanese dishes in accordance with established recipes, portion control, and presentation standards. Handle and prepare ingredients including seafood, meat, rice, noodles, and vegetables following Japanese cooking techniques. Ensure all food is prepared, stored, and handled in compliance with food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety regulations. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of kitchen work areas, utensils, and equipment at all times. Assist with daily food preparation and service to ensure efficient kitchen operations. Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure consistency, quality, and food safety. Assist with stock control, including stock rotation, inventory checks, and minimising food wastage. Follow directions from the Chef and work cooperatively with other kitchen staff during service periods. Assist with training junior kitchen staff in basic food preparation and hygiene procedures as required.
