Workforce Extensions is seeking a qualified Mechanical Fitter with automation experience to join our field service team at a prominent global mining company located in Hedland. Ideal candidates will demonstrate a strong work ethic, the ability to collaborate effectively, take pride in their craftsmanship, and excel in applying their trade skills. This position involves maintenance and troubleshooting of automated fixed plant equipment on a schedule of 7 days, 7 nights, and 14 days off, with a Fly in Fly out arrangement from Perth. The successful candidate will have a minimum of two years of experience with automation and process control equipment, preferably in a food or beverage automated plant or automotive manufacturing environment. Experience in maintenance settings with a focus on urgent fault-finding in industrial, process control, and automation contexts is essential. Demonstrated knowledge and experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems, as well as CNC Sinumerik automation systems, are required. Proficiency in using, maintaining, and troubleshooting various CNC lathes is necessary. Familiarity with the 1SAP Maintenance system is preferred.
