Your New Role We have a permanent opportunity for an Operations Privacy Specialist to join the Member Operations team. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Privacy & Fraud, the Operations Privacy Specialist will apply oversight, process improvement, and risk-based decision-making skills to ensure timely resolution and prevention of operational incidents across Member Operations. This role will support the Fund’s objective of remediating operational incidents across AustralianSuper and appropriate Service Providers. The successful applicant will have solid superannuation and operational experience, strong incident management skills, knowledge of privacy requirements, and ability to work with internal and external stakeholders to benefit members and employers. Key responsibilities include; Active management of a portfolio operational breaches and incidents, including privacy containment activities within requirements. Support the Senior Manager and other operational managers to progress privacy incidents to closure. Create and maintain incident records in GRC to track and monitor risks and incident management, specific to Privacy matters. Develop and oversee communications to impacted members or businesses on incident and remediation outcomes. Assist in the uplift of business rules and consistency of rules and knowledge management cross-functionally. Assist in the development and execution of controls, and preventative activities to mitigate reoccurrence of privacy incidents. Participate as an operational SME to support uplifted administration and continuous improvement initiatives with third party providers. What You’ll Need Experience in a risk, compliance or privacy role within superannuation or insurance sectors. Experience managing and resolving incidents with a demonstrated understanding of downstream impacts. Ability to read and interpret legislation. Solid working knowledge of operational risk management. An excellent working knowledge of/experience with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel & Microsoft Outlook. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage the range of tasks. An ability to work autonomously and pro-actively without supervision, managing own workload to meet deadlines. Strong stakeholder management skills. Excellent interpersonal skills which foster cooperation and teamwork in a close team environment. Ability to communicate effectively with a range of colleagues and service providers.
