It does this by investigating serious corruption and police misconduct; and informing the public sector, police and the community about the risks and impacts of corruption and police misconduct, and ways in which it can be prevented. Your new role The Director - People, Culture & Capability (PC&C) provides strategic leadership across IBAC's people and culture functions including HR policies and systems, organisational development, recruitment, workforce planning and reporting, employee relations, performance management, learning and development, payroll, health & safety, diversity & inclusion, and culture. The role oversees the alignment of PC&C programs and activities to deliver objective four of the IBAC Strategy 2025-2028: fostering a culture of collaboration innovation and adaptability, where our people are valued and empowered to deliver IBAC's mission. Key responsibilities include: Leading the strategic direction and priorities for the PC&C group Providing expert, authoritative advice on a broad matter of complex human resources and industrial relations policies, procedures and issues, including payroll, and occupational health and safety matters, often of a sensitive and confidential nature Building capability and engagement within the PC&C team, and foster a collaborative, high-performing team culture Engaging in people and culture transformation initiatives, both within the PC&C team and the broader organisation Partnering with the executive to identify potential and emerging human resource management issues and developing appropriate responses Additional duties are set out in the position description. About you You are an experienced leader who is collaborative, outcomes-focused, and skilled at leading change in complex environments. To be successful, you will have: Significant senior leadership experience in People & Culture functions, preferably in a public sector setting A relevant tertiary qualification (Human Resources, Employment Law etc.) is mandatory Strong expertise in employee/industrial relations, occupational health and safety, and organisational development Experience overseeing an in-house payroll function Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Due to the requirement to attain a Negative Vetting 1 security clearance candidates must be an Australian citizen at the time of application.
