A Research Manager is responsible for leading a team of research engineers to investigate and develop new technical concepts, methods and solutions. Guided by your understanding of the company’s commercial and clinical objectives, you will lead the translation of research concepts into viable, market-ready products. A Research Manager is expected to have a strong technical foundation in science/engineering and demonstrate high quality research practices. You will support the welfare and development of your team through coaching individual team members and providing effective feedback and training opportunities, building and maintaining strong working relationships within the team and with other teams and managers, and fostering a positive team culture aligned with company values. Who are you? You’ll embrace our goal of developing leading technologies to provide better health outcomes to patients. We are looking for people from a range of backgrounds including engineering, mathematics, physics, computer science and data analysis, who can bring their unique skillsets to our lung imaging technologies. We expect that you’ll have a postgraduate degree in engineering research or science, with 3 years of additional experience (postdoc, industry, PhD 2 years or Masters 4years) in a field that can be applied to image processing and research. In addition to this you must have 2 years' experience of managing engineers, researchers or scientists. If you have experience in image reconstruction techniques and X-ray imaging that’s great, and if not, we are happy to bring you up to speed.
