Description Security Analyst Team Lead – APAC Location: Hybrid (4 remote/1 office) in Melbourne, Australia or Remote in Australia (Job travel up to 10%) Reports to: Manager, Incident Response About the Role: Varonis’ Incident Response team is a globally distributed, outcome-driven organization focused on delivering exceptional post-sales security outcomes to our customers. We are seeking a customer-centric Security Analyst Team Lead to manage and scale our team of Incident Response Security Analysts focusing on customers in our Asia Pacific (APAC) region . This role is critical in shaping the customer experience, ensuring operational excellence, and serving as a trusted advisor and strategic partner to our clients. You will be responsible for the overall management of Varonis customer accounts based in the APAC region, requiring strong customer-facing experience with a diverse customer bas e. The customers span multiple time zones from India to eastern Australia. Additionally, you will be managing strategic customer account relationships. You will report to the APAC Incident Response Manager and play a key role in executing the broader cybersecurity strategy of Varonis’ Incident Response team . You will directly oversee personnel based in Australia and India , ensuring regional alignment with global strategy and consistent delivery of high-impact, value-driven services. Key Responsibilities: Exhibit extreme ownership of the Incident Response APAC customer portfolio. Lead, train, and develop a high-performing team of security analysts focused on delivering incident response and investigation services. Serve as a n escalation point and trusted advisor for complex customer incidents, ensuring timely, transparent, and effective resolution. Act as the face of Incident Response for APAC customers, building long-term relationships and aligning security outcomes with customer security goals. Provide operational ownership of a core Incident Response program to ensure it is delivered with a consistent level of quality. Collaborate across a variety of Varonis teams including: - MDDR Operations - Forensics - Threat Labs, Security Research, and Detection Engineering - Customer Success, TAMs, and Sales Drive customer satisfaction by ensuring proactive communication, clear incident handling, and measurable value delivery. Develop and implement regional processes, playbooks, and KPIs to ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery. Provide executive-level reporting on incident trends, team performance, and customer impact. Required Qualifications: 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, with 1 years in a leadership rol e . 1 years of demonstrate d personnel management with three or more direct reports. Strong executive presence and communication skills, with the ability to influence across technical and business stakeholders. Proven track record in incident response and cyber investigations. Demonstrated significant c ustomer-facing security operations and a ccount management experience . Familiarity with customer-vendor relationships and delivery of security services in a consultative manner. Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with India based customers. Experience with MDR and IR vendor offerings. Experience managing personnel and their performance. Familiarity with data security principles. Experience supporting sales or customer success initiatives from a technical leadership perspective.
