We are seeking an experienced Workforce Planning Team Lead with a background in the oil and gas industry. This role requires someone who understands the established norms, training requirements, and safety standards unique to the sector, and who can confidently operate in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. You will bring proven industry experience and the ability to contribute practical insight, guiding both the team and the broader business with confidence. Qualifications: Relevant qualification and/or extensive experience in workforce planning, mobilisation, logistics coordination, or resource management within industrial or project-based environments Experience: Extensive experience in workforce mobilisation and planning within high-volume project environments Proven experience in forecasting workforce demand and developing resourcing strategies Demonstrated experience in workforce scheduling, optimisation and mobilisation logistics Experience mentoring and supporting junior team members Experience managing workforce continuity, coverage planning and operational readiness Demonstrated experience operating within the oil and gas industry, with a strong understanding of its regulatory, safety, and operational requirements Skills and technical competencies: Advanced workforce planning and forecasting capability High attention to detail with strong analytical skills Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building capability Ability to multitask, prioritise and manage competing deadlines High-level written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills Demonstrated leadership, mentoring and coaching capability Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team High level proficiency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint Key activities: Act as a senior focal point for workforce movement and mobilisation activities across the business. Manage complex mobilisation schedules, travel bookings and logistics through third-party providers and client portals. Ensure clear communication of mobilisation and demobilisation arrangements to employees and project stakeholders. Liaise with client and site representatives to ensure mobilisation deadlines, compliance and onboarding requirements are met. Provide escalation support for complex or high-risk mobilisations. Develop and maintain accurate workforce forecasts aligned with project requirements and business objectives. Support workforce planning initiatives to ensure adequate resource availability for current and future projects. Analyse workforce data, project pipelines and workforce trends to inform planning decisions. Support strategic workforce planning activities in collaboration with operational leaders. Develop comprehensive “how-to” guides and standard operating procedures tailored to client-specific requirements. Provide onboarding support and training for new Workforce Planning Coordinators and Workforce Planning Administrators. Mentor team members to enhance their skills and knowledge in workforce planning and mobilisation processes.
