Northwest Tasmania an exciting opportunity for a Nurse (Medication Endorsed Enrolled Nurse or Registered Nurse) to join our growing and amazing team in our Mersey Clinic. Our Nurse will provide high quality, accurate and efficient medical imaging nursing services to the business, whilst ensuring an absolute commitment to the delivery of professional, caring, and friendly services to patients, referrers, and customers, and achieving quality, cost, and productivity targets for the business. This is a Full-Time Permanent role reporting directly to the Chief Technologist. Some of your responsibilities will include and are not limited to: Assist the Radiologist for interventional procedures, including gaining informed consent and medical history assessment, monitoring baseline observations and recovering patients post procedure. Interventional Procedures Include: Biopsies, Lumbar Punctures, Drainages, pain Management Injections and potentially support CT Coronary Angiograms. Working collaboratively with Radiologists, Nuclear Medicine Physicians, technical and administrative staff and managers. Our Ideal Nurse: You will have prior exposure working in a clinic or hospital environment as a Nurse. Your communication skills will be strong and high-quality patient-centered care will sit at the heart of all that you do. You will be able to prioritise your workload, work independently and be able to respond to various situations within a busy clinic effectively and efficiently. Please note, you will hold a Nursing qualification as a minimum and will have a current AHPRA Registration. Bonus points if you have prior IV Cannulation and radiology experience.
