Their Maritime Team specialise in conquering the challenges of the uncompromising maritime world, from dredging and coastal defences to bulk export terminals, subsea structures, and renewable energy projects. Your Opportunity As Principal Maritime Engineer, you’ll play a pivotal role in leading and managing large projects in what is a growing business with an expanding footprint in Australia. Your responsibilities will include: Lead, project manage and undertake assignments in Australia and internationally Structural design & analysis across broad structural types & standards Coordinate design & liaise with external professionals and clients Carry out peer reviews & assist in design processes Manage resourcing, recruitment, training, mentoring & coaching Support development of high level technical capability in your team Monitor staff time and budgets against assignment programme Resource planning to maximise fee income and resource utilisation Business Development and developing client relationships Skills & Experience Ideally you’ll have most of the following skills and attributes: Solid Maritime Engineering exp in large, technically complex projects Experience managing onshore & offshore maritime projects for clients Degree qualified Civil Engineer, with CPEng or equivalent Project mgmt exp. in large ($200m) high profile infrastructure Strong people management skills Strong working knowledge of structural and civil processes and design Strong data interpretation, design analysis & adv. numerical modelling Exp in quay walls, piling, dredging, berthing & mooring analysis and jacket design Knowledge of AS, Eurocodes, BS 6349, PIANC & maritime codes Exp, in computer analysis of structures and design in steel, concrete and composites Exp. in Midas, SpaceGass or similar, Wallap, Plaxis or similar quay wall FEA software Excellent MS Office abilities (particularly Excel) What’s on Offer: Exposure to major local and international projects Competitive salary and benefits Profit share, discretionary bonus scheme, employee assist. programme Diverse, friendly, resourceful team.
