About the role: Our Host Employer, QPE Engineering is a leading manufacturing company delivering advanced manufacturing, precision components and assembly to a range of industries. As a Fitter/Machinist Apprentice, you will work hands‑on producing precision components and assemblies that support defence, aerospace, mining and renewable energy industries. Learn from skilled tradespeople, develop machining and engineering fundamentals, and grow into a highly skilled Mechanical Fitter/Machinist in a cutting‑edge production environment. Some of the things you may do are; Assist qualified Trades and keeping the workshop clean and tidy Learn basic machining techniques, such as operating a manual mill and lathe Machine maintenance Use of hand tools Location: Gillman Hours of Work: 6.30am – 3.00pm, Monday - Friday What’s in it for you?
