Key Responsibilities Provide expert assessment, diagnosis and management of acute and chronic cardiovascular conditions in the hospital and outpatient settings. Lead and participate in cardiology wards, consult services and rapid response for cardiac emergencies. Perform diagnostic and interventional procedures appropriate to your skills and the hospital’s service model. Contribute to multidisciplinary case conferences, cardiac rehabilitation planning and complex discharge coordination. Supervise, educate and mentor junior medical staff, registrars and allied health professionals. Engage in quality improvement initiatives, clinical governance and guideline implementation to raise standards of care. Candidate Profile Fellowship or equivalent specialist registration in Cardiology with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency. Eligibility to work in Australia as a citizen or permanent resident. Proven clinical leadership, excellent communication skills and a collegial approach to multidisciplinary care. Demonstrated commitment to teaching, research or quality improvement is desirable. Experience in public hospital settings and familiarity with state health systems and pathways will be advantageous.
