East Perth CBD location | Full-Time | Hybrid Flexibility Unite Resourcing is a leading Australian workforce solutions and labour-hire business, supporting clients across construction, civil, mining, hospitality and infrastructure projects nationwide. As our operations continue to scale, we’re looking for an experienced Payroll Manager to take ownership of our end-to-end payroll function and play a key role within our finance team. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who thrives in high-volume, fast-paced environments and enjoys being the go-to payroll expert. About the Role Reporting to the General Manager – Finance, you will be responsible for managing and delivering accurate, compliant, and timely payroll across a large contractor workforce. You’ll work closely with finance, operations and recruitment teams to ensure payroll processes support business growth and workforce compliance. Key responsibilities include: Managing end-to-end weekly payroll for a high-volume workforce (250-300 employees) Interpreting and applying multiple awards and Enterprise Bargaining Agreements (EBAs) Ensuring compliance with ATO, Fair Work and superannuation requirements Payroll reconciliations, reporting and variance analysis Managing payroll data across systems including Xero, Astute Payroll and JobAdder Supporting accounts payable and receivable functions as required Handling payroll queries professionally and efficiently, from both clients and employees Identifying opportunities to improve payroll processes, controls and efficiencies Working closely with finance leadership to support audits and reporting obligations To be successful in this role, you’ll bring: Minimum 5 years’ experience in payroll within Australia (essential) , ideally within labour-hire, construction or similar high-volume industries Proven experience processing weekly payrolls for large workforces Strong knowledge of Australian awards, EBAs, superannuation and ATO obligations Experience with accounts payable and receivable and payroll reconciliations High attention to detail and a strong compliance mindset Confidence working across multiple systems and managing competing priorities Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams Why Join Unite Resourcing?
