The Marketing Communications Specialist plays a pivotal role in developing and executing integrated marketing strategies and communication plans to promote the organisation's products, services, and brand in the Australia and New Zealand markets. This individual will primarily focus on Food & Nutrition, Pharmaceuticals, and Beauty & Personal Care business units and collaborate with the teams to create compelling content, manage marketing campaigns, and maintain consistent messaging across multiple channels. The Marketing Communications Manager enhances brand awareness, engages with target audiences, and supports business growth. You will engage with global and regional teams and senior executives in different business units to help drive business development in Australia and New Zealand. Primary responsibilities include: Marketing & Communication Strategy and Planning: Support Managing Director and business units in developing marketing and communication plans and strategies in alignment with overall business objectives. Collaborate with Business Groups and support functions to create integrated marketing (Omni-channel approach) and communication campaigns that effectively reach target audiences (internal or external). Manage and plan marketing budget for the respective business units to ensure optimum usage. Content Creation and Management: Create high-quality, engaging, and persuasive content for various channels, including website, social media (LinkedIn etc), emails, articles, and marketing materials. Ensure content adheres to brand guidelines and effectively communicates the organisation's value proposition. Tap on market and commercial trends/data to create compelling story-telling and relevant marketing initiatives. Manage content calendars (APAC Marketing planner) and coordinate content distribution to maximise reach and impact. Works closely with agencies (if any) on content creation and translating relevant global/regional assets. Event/Campaign Management and Promotions: Coordinate and support the organisation of events, trade shows/conferences, customer/supplier events, and promotional activities/campaigns. Collaborate with relevant teams (commercial / technical / functions) to develop event materials, promotional collateral, and post-event follow-up strategies. Identifies content and produces appropriate materials for internal and, as needed, external communications and co-marketing activities. Analytics and Reporting: Monitor and analyse marketing campaign performance and key metrics. Work closely with Digital Marketing to evaluate the effectiveness of marketing efforts and make data-driven recommendations for improvement. Regularly follow up with commercial and management team to review campaign results and data quality. Digital Marketing and Social Media: Work closely with APAC Digital Marketing members to increase online visibility and drive traffic to the organisation's website and social media platforms. Monitor proactive and reactive social media activities, and website performances. Utilise social media and website analytics tools to measure performance and optimise content for better engagement. Media Relations: Assist in gathering content and information for press releases, media pitches, and other PR materials to garner media coverage and promote the organisation's initiatives. Build and maintain relationships with media outlets, journalists, and influencers to secure media placements and partnerships. Leverages digital media to support the company's marketing and digitalisation strategies. Brand Management: Uphold brand consistency and integrity across all communication channels and marketing materials. Act as the brand ambassador to ensure consistent brand representation. Be a trusted business partner and provide communications support for key senior stakeholders. Internal Communications Support leadership communication aligned with business priorities and leadership goals. Collaborate closely with functions and business units to plan and deliver initiatives/events (townhalls, CSR, etc) to foster employee engagement and advocacy. About you Relevant tertiary qualification in marketing, communications, business, journalism or related field. 5 years of experience in marketing, communications, event management or a related role. B2B marketing experience ideally within the Life Science sectors of Food & Nutrition, and/or Pharmaceutical, and/or Beauty & Personal Care industries, would put you a step above the rest, but not critical. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to pitch ideas and influence business leaders. Proficiency in design software, digital marketing tools, social media platforms, and content management systems would be an advantage. Ability to work collaboratively in a matrix organisation and manage multiple projects simultaneously; proven experience managing competing priorities and pressures. Results-oriented and self-motivated individual; someone who takes initiative with a "can do" attitude. Must be prepared to travel interstate & overseas on as needed basis for trade fairs & industry events.
