About the Role The Project Controls Lead – Digital System Implementation is a critical leadership role responsible for establishing and embedding a standardised Digital Project Controls framework across our Energy Services contracts. You will lead the assessment, design, and implementation of digital project controls systems and technology, ensuring alignment with UGL’s strategic objectives while improving efficiency, accuracy, and reporting capability. This role will drive sustainable practices, streamline processes, reduce waste, and enhance productivity across project delivery teams. Key areas of development will be: • Document Control Management • Cost Management • Planning/Scheduling • Change Management • Reporting Dashboards • Time Writing Process Optimisation • Digital Job Card Integration • Rostering • Inventory Management • Digital Forms • Administrative Systems Support Key Responsibilities In this role, you will: • Assist with the gap analyses of existing project controls systems and processes • Define success criteria, governance standards, and KPIs aligned with business objectives • Lead the design, configuration, integration, and rollout of digital project controls tools • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and external software vendors • Develop implementation schedules, cost forecasts, and resourcing plans • Produce detailed operating procedures, user guides, and system documentation • Coordinate system implementation activities across office and site-based teams • Provide coaching, training, and technical support to project controls and delivery teams • Ensure reporting accuracy, data integrity, and system interoperability • Establish continuous improvement mechanisms and review performance against KPIs on a quarterly basis You will also proactively identify opportunities for delivery improvement, develop innovative solutions to project challenges, and ensure full compliance with UGL policies, standards, and procedures. About You To be successful in this role, you will bring: • Detailed understanding of Project Management Systems and industry best practice. • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline, or trade qualifications with 5 years’ experience in a similar role (preferred) • Extensive experience in Project Controls, including at least 2 years in a leadership or senior advisory role • Demonstrated experience delivering project controls system implementations • Strong understanding of industry trends, best practices, and end‑user requirements • Excellent planning, prioritisation, and organisational skills with strong attention to detail • Highly developed interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills • A commitment to continuous improvement and professional integrity Why Join UGL?
