As Baby Bunting continues its journey to be customer first, we’re looking for a BI Developer to join our transformational Data & Insights team! In this exciting role, reporting directly to our Head of Data & Insights, you will take ownership of Baby Bunting’s business intelligence, building critical business datasets and reports, whilst being a trusted advisor, contributing valuable insights and recommendations to key stakeholders throughout the business. To be successful in this role, you will be an exceptional BI lead and have extensive data analysis experience, gained in a multi-channel retailer. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Data Development Build, maintain, and improve critical datasets to be leveraged in BI dashboards for operational reporting and self-discovery analytics Requirements gathering for analytical projects, capturing necessary business context and logic, and translating these into analytical requirements and outputs Collaborate with data engineers to create essential BI dashboards that facilitate self-service reporting and analytics across the organization BI Development Lead the maintenance and development of business-critical Power BI and ThoughtSpot reports for consumption across the whole business Work with stakeholders to marry business need with the metrics that matter, and deliver these metrics in an easily consumable format Business Insights Collaborate with the wider data team to pinpoint underlying trends, business challenges and opportunities that can be tackled through in-depth analysis Make recommendations on initiatives that could reasonably deliver a meaningful uplift in commercial outcomes Business Intelligence Efficiently manage and prioritize a backlog of stakeholder requests, utilising data science principles to identify scalable BI solutions that minimize rework Make strategic trade-offs between scalable and quick solutions, balancing the ideal approach with immediate business needs WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED Advanced Power BI and SQL skills 4–6 years of experience in data Tertiary qualification in IT, data science, mathematics, statistics or equivalent experience Experience with Databricks and ThoughtSpot advantageous Natural curiosity and passion for exploring data and delivering value Excellent communication and influencing skills Retail experience is desirable WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU We're accelerating our growth across Australia and New Zealand – when we grow, you grow!
