About You You are a calm, capable, and client-focused professional who thrives in a fast-paced setting. With excellent communication skills and a strong sense of empathy, you support people with care, clarity, and professionalism — even during complex or crisis-driven interactions. You value teamwork, continuous improvement, and delivering services that reflect cultural sensitivity, respect, and RAQ’s commitment to inclusivity. Students currently undertaking, or who have recently completed, studies in Psychology, Counselling, or Family Dispute Resolution Practice (FDRP) are strongly encouraged to apply, as this role aligns well with their training and career pathway. Additionally, you have: • Previous experience in a customer service, intake, or client-facing role. • Experience in a professional environment; call centre or community services experience is highly regarded. • Strong communication skills — both written and verbal — and the ability to manage competing priorities. • The ability to assess client needs, recognise risks, and make appropriate, safe referrals. • Confidence engaging with people from diverse backgrounds, including First Nations peoples, CALD communities, and LGBTIQ clients. • Solid computer skills, including Microsoft Office and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
