Job Purpose Define and fulfil UGLRL TAO Obligations for bridge construction in line with UGL procedures, TfNSW requirements, relevant codes and standards, and industry best practice. Manage pre-planning and Construction Delivery to achieve project time and budget objectives. Successfully lead the project delivery process and drive completion of work in accordance with TAO Requirements. Deliver works that fully satisfy the UGLRL’s expectations of time, cost, safety and environmental objectives, maintaining and updating the team’s AWP construction schedule and managing site subcontractors and suppliers to complete projects. Key Responsibilities Define and fulfil UGLRL TAO Obligations for Track & Civil construction in line with UGL procedures, TfNSW requirements, relevant codes and standards, and industry best practise. TAO Requirements and Quality Review and approve designs as construction and TAO (construction) representative. Accountable for all Construction management to ensure that projects are implemented in accordance with plans, designs and specifications. Accountable for design adherence or controlled changes in line with UGLRL procedures. Define and implement quality assurance systems and processes required to fulfil TAO (construction) requirements. Act as technical representative and nominated signatory for all hold and witness points. Liaise with Project Planner to ensure adequate track possession by methods of Long-term application or As Trains Permit bid sheets Accountable for site construction budgets, cost to date and cost reporting requirements. Review costs and take remedial actions to ensure Financial Control remains within the acceptable limits of the budget at all stages of the project. Execute working knowledge of contractual and legislation relevant to the project. Demonstrate financial management skills and commercial acumen when making decisions Accountable for management of contractors to ensure contractual, programme, cost, HSE and quality outcomes are achieved. Provide required reports to the MPM Delivery Manager to meet monthly reporting timelines. Demonstrate sound people management skills by managing work and performance of subcontractors to achieve outcomes Utilise effective time management skills including sequencing of work of own and resource time management Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, (Civil). Chartered Engineering Status, working towards, or with intention to apply. Rail Infrastructure Workers Card “RIW”, plus relevant track access competencies (this training can be provided by UGLRL, but is a mandatory requirement for successful completion of probationary period).
