PRIMARY OBJECTIVE The Supply Chain Analyst – Planning & Scheduling supports the Planning team to balance poultry demand and supply, build accurate daily and weekly production plans, and help ensure customer orders are met in full and on time in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. Working closely with senior planners, production, sales and logistics, the role focuses on analysing data, maintaining planning tools, and supporting supply and scheduling activities for Hazeldenes’ fresh and frozen poultry products. The position is designed as an entry pathway for a recent graduate to develop capability in supply chain, demand and supply planning, and production scheduling in the chicken processing industry. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Planning & Scheduling Support Assist with preparation of daily and weekly production and scheduling plans in line with the Master Production Schedule (MPS), customer orders, poultry availability and plant capacity. Update and maintain planning spreadsheets and systems with accurate data (demand forecasts, production plans, inventory levels, live bird intake, yields and orders). Support the translation of demand forecasts into supply and production plans for primary and secondary processing. Help monitor alignment between forecast, production, inventory and customer requirements, escalating potential gaps early. Data Analysis & Reporting Work with large data sets to extract, clean and analyse information from planning tools and business systems (e.g. ERP, production reports, sales data). Build and maintain Excel reports, pivot tables and basic charts to support daily supply and production planning decisions. Track and report key indicators such as forecast accuracy, service levels, stock levels, waste, and schedule adherence. Identify trends, variances and potential issues (e.g. forecast vs production vs inventory) and highlight these to senior planners. Supply Chain Coordination Work closely with production, farming/live bird supply, sales, logistics, warehousing and procurement teams to understand constraints and communicate planning outcomes. Support daily and weekly planning meetings by preparing data, updating trackers and summarising key actions. Assist with scenario analysis (e.g. demand changes, bird shortages, downtime, customer changes) and document recommended planning responses. Continuous Improvement Document standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions and templates for planning activities. Contribute ideas to improve planning processes, tools and reporting to increase accuracy, efficiency and visibility along the supply chain. Support small improvement projects related to demand planning, production scheduling, inventory management and information flow. Food Safety, Quality & Safety Follow all Hazeldenes’ policies and procedures related to food safety, quality, HACCP, animal welfare and regulatory requirements within a poultry processing environment. Comply with workplace health and safety (WHS) procedures, including safe systems of work and correct use of PPE. Immediately report hazards, near misses and non-conformances to the relevant leader. What You Bring Technical & Analytical Skills Strong analytical mindset and confidence working with large data sets. Solid Excel skills, including formulas, filters, pivot tables and basic charts to support planning and scheduling activities. Basic knowledge of power Query , power PIVOT & power BI- able to run large data sets & create story . Ability to quickly understand and follow planning processes such as MPS, daily production schedules, and poultry demand & supply planning. Basic knowledge of supply chain concepts — demand, supply, production, scheduling, inventory.
