We are seeking a Leading Hand Carpenter to to join our team in Mulwala, NSW. The position is full-time and based out of our head office in Mulwala with an employer who values their team and has solution driven mindset. You will need to be a confident, detail-oriented individual ready to thrive in a busy setting.

Qualifications:

Trade qualification in Carpentry
Construction Induction Card (White card)
Current Drivers Licence

Skills required:

Trade qualified carpenter with 4 years experience in the building industry
Advanced communication skills, both face to face and written
Prior history in a leading hand or leadership role would be an advantage
Proficient knowledge of carpentry techniques and methods including framing, lock up, fix, cladding & decking work highly regarded
Physically fit and able to perform the physical requirements of the role
Comprehensive knowledge of building methods, processes, and materials
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent numeracy skills
Proven organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads effectively
Ability to follow and drive for procedure improvements & efficiencies
A positive and solution driven mindset
Strong work ethic and the willingness to help others and work within a team
Personal pride in the quality of your work and strong attention to detail
Confidence to work independently
Ability to meet required deadlines

Responsibilities:

Be the go to person for all carpenters, apprentices, and sub-contractors.
Ensure all projects at our Mulwala facility are completed within set timelines, to the highest standard and within budget.
Lead and grow team members through ongoing mentoring, training and development.
Develop and build strong relationships with all staff, suppliers and sub contractors.
Ensure continual compliance with the National Construction Code, Australian Standards, and all Occupational Health & Safety requirements.
