With an exciting new Business Strategy and Marketing Strategy now in place for 2026 – 2028 an opportunity exists for a talented and energetic marketing leader to work with their team to execute a dynamic game plan set for the 2026 season and beyond. Key Responsibilities: Lead the implementation and ongoing management of the WA Football marketing strategy, translating strategic priorities into clear, executable plans. Drive audience-led growth through targeted campaigns and content marketing initiatives that support participation, engagement, and brand objectives. Own and ensure alignment with the WA Football brand strategy and visual identity across all channels and touchpoints. Build and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including WAFL clubs, AFL, partners, and agencies. Manage performance frameworks, KPIs, and reporting to measure impact, optimise activity, and support continuous improvement. Skills And Experiences About You: Experience managing a team of enthusiastic marketing professionals Proven ability to effectively develop, lead and implement brand and marketing strategies Drive to be a hands-on leader and collaborator within your team and across the business - with no job too big or small Ability to understand and analyse market research, societal trends and data to develop strategies Sound knowledge of the latest digital marketing channels and trends via social media, content creators, AI, gamification and podcasting Demonstrated ability to manage and lead website projects (Word Press CMS desirable), CRMs and SEO/SEM Proven ability in leading organisational change and influence culture Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to negotiate, liaise and influence positive outcomes Proven ability to work with and influence internal and external stakeholders (including media suppliers, production services and creative agencies) to deliver on agreed outcomes Passion or interest in sport, sports marketing desirable but not essential Apply Now!
