Control Management Consultant Job No: 678475 Sydney - Inner Suburbs & CBD, Brisbane - Inner Suburbs & CBD, Melbourne - Inner Suburbs & CBD Max Term Full Time Insurance Pay Band 4 Be part of a dynamic and inclusive team that values your contributions Develop and drive consistent ways of working and capability uplift Brisbane (preferred), Sydney or Melbourne location 12 month role The crucial role of the Control Management Consultant contributes to the delivery of the Commercial and Personal Injury (C&PI) Insurance control testing program enabling the detection, prevention and recovery of unintended risks while supporting compliance with regulatory requirements. What you’ll do: Coordinate business SMEs to ensure effective consultation for the design and execution of control tests Identify, prioritise, and coordinate automation and efficiency opportunities to strengthen the control environment, achieving the right balance between risk reduction and cost to implement Effective relationship management and training to support C&PI Executives in understanding their risk and obligation accountabilities, uplifting the knowledge of the control environment within all teams Identify improvements in the control design to improve customer experience, where control automation is not possible Provide clarity around best-practice risk culture for Commercial & Personal Injury and drive improved risk maturity for control management. What you’ll bring: Minimum 3 years appropriate industry experience in general insurance Minimum 1 year experience within Risk or Internal/External Audit related business area(s) Audit/assurance technical ability – identify requirements, analyse business processes, gather evidence, identify gaps and delivery outcomes Strong stakeholder management – develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders applying fit for purpose engagement models Ability to use information to identify key controls, issues, compare data and draw insight.
