About the Team: The Hospitality, Tourism & Events team sits within Victoria University’s TAFE division and delivers high-quality, industry-relevant education across commercial cookery, hospitality, tourism and event management programs. The team works closely with industry partners to ensure training remains current, practical and aligned to workforce needs. Our programs are delivered across classroom, simulated and real-world environments, including live operations, events and industry-based learning. About the Role: As a TAFE Teacher in Hospitality, Tourism & Events, you will play a key role in delivering engaging, high-quality vocational education and assessment, primarily within our Events program, while also being available to teach across Hospitality programs as required to support operational needs. You will work collaboratively with colleagues and industry partners to deliver practical, hands-on training that reflects current industry practices and standards. About You: You will bring strong industry experience in Events, supported by a mandatory AQF Level 5 qualification in Events Management, and a passion for teaching and developing learners. An AQF Level 5 qualification in Hospitality will be highly regarded. You will also hold a Diploma of Vocational Education and Training (or higher ) , or be willing to obtain this qualification within an agreed timeframe, along with experience delivering vocational education and assessment in an Events, Hospitality or related TAFE environment and a solid understanding of competency-based training and assessment. You will have the capability to deliver primarily within Events programs and the flexibility to contribute to Hospitality teaching as required, aligned to your qualifications and industry experience. You are an engaging and effective communicator who can connect with diverse student cohorts and build productive relationships with colleagues and industry partners. A collaborative, adaptable and student-centred approach, combined with strong organisational skills, attention to compliance requirements, and a commitment to continuous improvement, will make you a strong fit for this role.
