A fantastic opportunity is now available for an experienced and motivated Health Information Manager or Clinical Coder to join our Health Information Services team. This position provides parental leave coverage and offers the chance to contribute to the delivery of high‑quality clinical coding and health information services at BRHS. The Contract: Fixed Term, Part Time, 48 hours per fortnight (until February 2027) The Position: In this role, you will provide timely and accurate clinical coding of admitted episodes using ICD‑10‑AM classifications and associated coding standards, along with clinical documentation analysis and data integrity checks. The position supports key HIS functions such as ensuring VAED submission accuracy, assisting with medico‑legal processes, and identifying documentation issues requiring clarification. Tasks may be tailored based on your skills, experience and coding proficiency, and you may also assist with coding for smaller regional hospitals as required. Why Should You Apply? Minimum 12 months clinical coding experience preferred, with ability to code moderate to complex episodes. Strong knowledge of clinical coding standards, grouping software and Victoria's public funding model. Sound clinical knowledge with excellent analytical and documentation‑review skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, electronic patient record systems, and accurate data entry. (IPM and 3M encoder experience advantageous.) Interested?
