Job Description: St Vincent’s Private Hospital Melbourne (SVPHM) is a facility of St Vincent’s Health Australia under the stewardship of Mary Aikenhead Ministries. We are a not for profit Catholic private hospital which operates across four sites at Fitzroy, East Melbourne, Kew and Werribee. St Vincent’s Private Hospital Melbourne extended its trusted, state of the art health care services to areas west of Melbourne when it opened the doors of a new private hospital January 2018 The Services available at our Werribee hospital include orthopaedic, obstetrics, cardiology, ear nose and throat, plastic and reconstructive surgery, urology, gynaecology, general surgery, vascular, rehabilitation and oncology/infusions. Facilities include operating theatres, a day procedure unit, oncology/infusion unit, a cardiac catheter laboratory, and a rehabilitation gymnasium. Reporting directly to the Perioperative Services Manager at St Vincent’s Private Hospital Werribee, this exciting opportunity is now available for an experienced Theatre Technicians (Grade 3) to join our team on a permanent part-time basis 40 hours a fortnight. Responsibilities will include (but will not be limited to); Assisting the Surgeon and Nursing Staff with surgical procedures through provision, operation and maintenance of theatre equipment and the positioning / preparation of patients. Facilitating efficient Perioperative processes and ensure the smooth operation and running of Perioperative Services Ensuring equipment and stock are available at all times for the other Perioperative Services staff. The successful candidate will have; Certificate 3 in Health Services Assistance ( operating Theatre Support) from an accredited institution Previous experience in a Perioperative setting.
