About the role The Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC Level 2) is an expert practitioner who, through leadership facilitates evidence-based practice. The CNC will promote a service that fosters clinical excellence, research and professional leadership. The CNC contributes to quality health care by collaborating with health care providers and consumer groups, developing clinical practice standards and evaluating their outcomes. This permanent full-time role is pivotal in maintaining HammondCare’s commitment to upholding stringent infection prevention and control standards across its diverse range of healthcare facilities and services. The successful candidate will lead efforts to prevent and manage healthcare-associated infections, implement evidence-based practices, and cultivate a culture of continuous improvement in infection control measures. The role can be based at either Braeside Hospital in Prairiewood or Neringah Hospital in Wahroonga . Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, infection control practitioners, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals will be paramount, and you will be responsible for providing services that facilitate effective management of the care in the given specialty. Responsibilities include policy development, staff education and training, surveillance, outbreak investigation, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. HammondCare is a NSW Health-affiliated organisation all NSW Health transferrable entitlements will be recognised. About you Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) & at least 5 years of full-time equivalent post-registration experience. Approved postgraduate nursing qualifications in a field relevant to the specialty field or such other qualifications or experience deemed appropriate by the organisation.
