My client is needing an experienced Payroll Officer to manage their payroll. Based in their Eagle Farm office, you will either work a 9 day fortnight (longer days), or 5 days per week - you choose! Hybrid work is offered, with 1-2 days per week WFH. This role will be a mix of Payroll (predominantly) and some HR admin work. On a day to day basis, you will be: Processing a weekly payroll of approx 110 employees using Definitiv Ensure payroll processes comply with all legislative and statutory requirements, including PAYG, superannuation, STP, payroll tax and leave accruals Proactively identify payroll issues, discrepancies or system errors and resolve problems quickly and effectively Conduct regular audits of the Definitiv payroll system to ensure ongoing compliance Complete end-of-month and end-of-year payroll activities, ensuring all statutory and non-statutory remittances are accurate and on time Prepare and submit Payroll Tax and FBT returns Act as the key point of contact for payroll-related enquiries, including complex or sensitive matters Prepare employment agreements, contract variations and other employment documentation Conduct employee inductions on their first day Conduct job reference checks as part of the recruitment process Run and analyse payroll reports to provide accurate data to support annual salary reviews Prepare pay increase letters and related documentation for employees following salary review approvals Assist with HR reporting, including WGEA annual reporting Provide general HR administrative support and undertake additional tasks as directed by the HR Manager To be considered, you must have: Solid Payroll experience - Defintiiv experience would be highly regarded Strong attention to detail Excellent communication skills A good team player Ability to manage competing deadlines Salary: $100k - $110k plus Super If you would like to apply for this role, press on the apply button, or for a confidential discussion, please contact Celine Guillot on 0415 345 587
