Position Overview: As the senior authority in estimating and cost governance, you will lead the development and implementation of our estimating strategy and governance framework. You will provide strategic oversight of major tenders and commercial submissions, ensuring accuracy, competitiveness, and commercial integrity. This role requires close collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders to deliver timely, reliable cost forecasts and innovative commercial strategies. Key Responsibilities Lead the development and implementation of Intium’s estimating strategy and governance framework Manage and mentor internal estimating teams and subcontractors to deliver accurate and competitive estimates. Oversee pricing strategies for major tenders and executive bid submissions. Provide expert advice on cost, risk, schedule, procurement strategies, and commercial exposure. Drive innovation in estimating processes, tools, and methodologies. Maintain robust market intelligence and embed lessons learned into cost models and rate libraries. Collaborate with stakeholders to validate project objectives and optimise costs during pre-construction phases. Establish cost-control and performance metrics for continuous improvement. Engage with senior leaders, clients, and partners on commercial strategy and bid negotiations. About You You are a proven leader with extensive experience in managing estimating functions for large-scale, complex projects within the energy transition sector. You bring advanced knowledge of estimating methodologies, cost control, and risk forecasting, coupled with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Your ability to influence, communicate complex concepts clearly, and lead cross-functional teams will set you apart. Skills: To excel in this role, you will bring Excellent communication and influencing skills to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and provide regular updates to project risks, statuses and forecasts Flexibility and adaptability in changing commercial and technology environments Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to face challenges that arise from changes in market trends, including delays in budgets, schedules and developments High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of project control and estimation to identify and address potential issues Proven leadership capability with cross-functional teams, with proven ability to motivate, manage and mentor diverse teams. Required Qualifications Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, with demonstrated capability through past employment experience and/ or relevant qualifications.
