The Opportunity We are seeking a highly experienced Digital Performance and Agency Lead to lift the sophistication and return on investment of digital marketing across our growing portfolio of national exhibitions. Our business spans a broad range of B2B markets including food, hospitality, interiors, construction, safety and fitness. Each event is led by a Marketing Lead with deep audience expertise. This role provides central digital leadership, setting consistent execution standards while supporting Marketing Leads to deliver high-performing campaigns across the portfolio, with hands-on involvement in campaign setup, optimisation and performance management. Key Responsibilities Agency Leadership Act as the primary internal contact for paid digital agencies, consolidating briefs, managing pacing and optimisation, holding partners accountable to agreed performance targets and scopes, and ensuring allocated digital budgets are spent efficiently and aligned to performance targets. Channel Strategy and Measurement Define and enforce consistent standards for channel mix, targeting logic, creative testing, tracking and attribution across all event campaigns. Demand Generation and Audience Development Define and implement lead generation frameworks across event portfolios and work with Marketing Leads to build accurate, high-fidelity audiences that support efficient acquisition and conversion. Website, CRO and SEO Performance Own landing page standards, conversion optimisation priorities and SEO and GEO coordination, briefing development partners to improve registration performance and organic visibility. Performance Reporting and Insights Build and maintain dashboards to provide a clear and consistent view of digital performance by event. Analyse efficiency trends including CPA, CPL and conversion rate and translate results into actionable recommendations. Governance and Capability Building Establish guidelines for digital briefing and quality assurance, apply learnings across portfolios, and work with Data and Marketing Operations to ensure digital activity complies with privacy, consent and data governance requirements. Growth Enablement Tools Lead the evaluation and adoption of digital tools and platforms that improve performance, efficiency and scalable growth. Required Skills and Experience Minimum five years experience across a multi-channel performance ecosystem Deep understanding of B2B funnels and attendee acquisition Strong analytical and optimisation capability Proven experience working with and briefing agencies, including budget accountability Ability to brief technical partners on CRO, SEO and UX requirements Clear and confident internal communicator Key Performance Indicators Achievement of agreed CPA and CPL targets Measurable improvement in conversion rates Growth in organic registrations from SEO and GEO Agency performance aligned to agreed plans Reduction in digital execution errors
