LET’S EXPLORE THE ROLE As the Senior Project Controller, you will manage end‑to‑end financial control across major telecommunications infrastructure programs, including Sydney Metro West. You will be the key financial interface between project delivery and corporate finance, ensuring accurate reporting, cost intelligence, and commercial insights for project success. Key Responsibilities: Cost Management & Control Track project costs against budget and maintain financial baselines Manage reforecasting and provide early warnings for risks or overruns Monitor labour, contractor and materials costs across workstreams Maintain inventory, accruals and financial documentation Reconcile project cost records to the general ledger Change Order & Variation Management Maintain full Change Order lifecycle including costing, submission, negotiation and approval Prepare cost estimates and analyse financial implications Support Commercial Manager with pricing recommendations Update project forecasts and adjust budgets for approved variations Revenue Recognition & Contract Accounting Apply AASB 15 principles and assess contract modifications Calculate percentage‑of‑completion revenue Prepare monthly revenue recognition entries Maintain contract asset/liability positions and audit documentation Billing, Invoicing & Cash Flow Prepare monthly progress claims and milestone payment applications Raise invoices for approved variations Track payments, manage cash flow, and coordinate collections Reporting & Governance Deliver cost reports, cash flow, earned value, variance analysis and revenue waterfalls Support monthly financial close and governance forums Ensure compliance with finance policies and controls Cross‑Functional Coordination Act as the financial lead for project teams Partner with Finance, FP&A, Procurement, Commercial and Legal Support stakeholders on contract interpretation and financial frameworks LET’S HEAR ABOUT YOU You bring: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or related discipline CA or CPA qualification 5 years post‑qualification experience Proven project accounting experience across infrastructure or construction Strong ability to translate complex financial data for non‑financial stakeholders Demonstrated cross‑functional collaboration capability This role is required to be undertaken from within Australia only.
